Though the high low skirt was a spring staple this year, the flirty, feminine style has made an easy transition to summer–and into my wardrobe for years to come. I particularly like the ones with translucent fabric over a shorter skirt. It really compliments the shape of the leg and adds height to the body.
Outfit 1:

Why this works:
- This follows a neutral, pastel color theme. The pinks, mints, and beiges all compliment each other, the navy top, and color blocked clutch.
- Because the skirt is flowing and loose, it is always good to balance the proportions with a more form fitting top. This prevents you from looking weighted down and makes you look slimmer.
- Heels with a high low skirt are a match made in fashion heaven. The heels make the legs look longer and leaner, and the high low skirt shows them off.
- The accessories are fun and feminine, which goes with the overall flirty theme of the outfit. They all have intricate details that tie together the outfit, and each piece is gorgeous. The mint studded bracelet and the sunglasses are perfect, and when paired together, add a fun elegance to the outfit.
Outfit 2:
Why this works:
- The vertical pleats in the top and the soft vertical ruffles on the skirt make your figure look taller and slimmer. The coral and the nude are gorgeous together, and this pairing is a great way to employ the ever-popular colorblocking trend. The ruffles on the sleeve of the top and the interesting neckline add visual interest to the top, which will slowly draw the eye down to the rest of this gorgeous outfit.
- The cute sparkly bow flats are fun and feminine, and the simple gold bracelet and elegant gold earrings add a shine to the top and skirt. Neutrals, corals, and golds are great together. The neutrals and golds bring out the vibrancy of the coral, and the coral and neutrals bring out the sheen of the gold.
- The vintage-looking ring’s vibrant color compliments the rest of the outfit and gives new meaning to the phrase “statement ring.” The eye is immediately drawn to the beautiful color of the jewel, and then the lovely golden edging on the ring.
- The black-lined white bag is classy, simple, and feminine. The black edging is mostly on the top, nearest to the coral shirt, so the black won’t be too overpowering for the rest of this more neutral outfit.
